The Ultimate Home Espresso Setup for Our Sabeanz espresso roasts

At Sabeanz Coffee & Tea, we are dedicated to delivering freshly roasted coffee straight to your door. But to get the absolute most out of your beans, having the right equipment at home is key!

If you love the rich intensity of our signature 6 Bean Blend, which is a dark roast espresso coffee, you need a machine that can truly highlight its profile. Dark roasts are perfect for espresso, delivering bold, rich flavors with lower acidity.

That is why we highly recommend investing in premium espresso machines from top brands like Breville and Lelit. These machines are built to last and give you cafe-quality results right in your kitchen.

Why You Need a Burr Grinder for the Perfect Sabeanz Cup

Did you know that grind size significantly impacts extraction and flavor? It is one of the most overlooked steps in home brewing! Different brewing methods require completely different grind sizes.

For espresso machines, you must choose an extra fine grind, while a French press requires a coarse grind to prevent sediment in your cup. If your grind is too fine for your method, your coffee will taste bitter; if it is too coarse, it will taste sour and weak.

If you are unsure about pre-ground sizes, we always recommend ordering whole beans and grinding them fresh at home for the best flavor. While cheap blade grinders chop beans unevenly, a high-quality conical burr grinder crushes them uniformly for a perfectly balanced extraction.

We trust Baratza grinders for their durability and precision. They are the perfect companion for everything from our smooth House Blend to our robust coffees !

Mastering the Pour-Over: Gear & Bean Pairings

The pour-over method is a beautiful, meditative way to start your morning. It is also one of the best ways to taste the nuanced flavors of a high-quality bean.

Light roasts work beautifully with pour-over and drip methods, highlighting the coffee's origin characteristics and bright acidity. This brewing style is perfect for bringing out the bright citrus notes of our Ethiopian beans.

To master the pour-over, you need three main things: great beans, a medium-coarse grind for brewers like the Chemex, and a gooseneck kettle for a precise, slow pour. A kitchen scale is also incredibly helpful for measuring your water-to-coffee ratio accurately!
